Pastels by Evelyn Brody and Photographs by Jack B. Siegel
Exhibit: Friday, September 27 – Thursday, October 31
Reception: Sunday, October 6, 1:00pm – 3:00pm
While a husband and wife often have different perspectives, in a successful marriage each appreciates the other’s take on the world and the people who inhabit it. Jack and Evelyn have been capturing their artistic impressions for close to a decade. Evelyn channels her vision through pastels and charcoal, while Jack relies on a camera. Both find inspiration in urban environments. Often, the location is Chicago, but it can also be a museum in Madrid, a cemetery in Paris, or a street in New York. The moments and light might be fleeting, but they are worth preserving for future enjoyment and contemplation.
