Fall Silk Painting—Indigo with Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff

Saturday, November 23, 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Indigo is a traditional way of dyeing scarves and other fiber objects a vibrant blue. We will use clamps, poles, etc. to create patterns on the silk.   One habotai silk scarf will be provided.  Additional blank scarves, of both silk and cotton, will be available for purchase, if you have time to paint an additional scarf, or more.  You may also bring some silk and cotton items of your own to dye, and we will do as many as time and materials allow.   All supplies are included; please wear clothing suitable for painting.
