Capital Campaign

McCord Gallery and Cultural Center Capital Campaign Goal:
To raise $1.2 million for the construction of the Anderson Annex for the Arts.

You can become a founder of the future McCord cultural center by adding your contribution to Mrs. Betty Anderson’s generous initial gift of $225,000. And Jack and Cynthia Weglarz’s one-to-one challenge grant up to $500,000 for all future contributions means that every contribution will double in value.

Why contribute to the Capital Campaign?

McCord is a “welcoming home for the arts” that has outgrown its original space. With hundreds of visual art students and over 125 private music students, the historic house on the hill is bursting at the seams. The Anderson Annex will allow many more children and adults to benefit from McCord’s exhibitions, art education programs and special cultural events.

Become a part of the expanded McCord Gallery and Cultural Center and help leave a legacy for the future of arts in the southwest suburban region. For questions about the capital campaign, including information about naming opportunities, please contact the Co-Chairs of the Capital Campaign Committee, Nancy Mitchell or Pat Jones, or Executive Director Lynne Terr at, or by calling 708-708-671-0648.
