Registration and Tuition
Art– Registration and payment for all Art Classes and Workshops must be received at least 10 days prior to the beginning of the registered class or workshop. Registration may be submitted by phone, fax or mail. Space in a class is not reserved unless payment has been received. Classes or workshops with less than five students will be cancelled. Tuition cannot be prorated.
Music – Registration and payment for Music Lessons is due on a monthly basis. Payment for the upcoming month is due by the Friday before that month is to begin. If payment is not received, the instructor will be contacted and the student in question will not be included on the lesson list for that month.
All students Art or Music must sign the responsibility agreement prior to Fall Classes. Contact the office for more details.
Art – McCord Gallery & Cultural Center reserves the right to cancel, combine, or reschedule classes for any reason. All registered will be informed as soon as possible and extended the opportunity to transfer to another class or a full refund will be offered. If a student wishes to cancel their registration they must do so one week in advance in order to receive a full refund. Cancellations with less than seven days notice or no-shows are non-refundable and the full tuition will be charged. Make-up classes are not given for group art classes. Twenty-four hours notice must be given in the cancellation of a private lesson. If 24 hours notice is not given a make-up lesson will not be given and a refund will not be offered.
Music – If a student wishes to cancel their regularly scheduled lesson 24 hours notice must be given to the instructor in order to be eligible for a make-up lesson. It is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor if any lessons are to be missed. Failure to notify or notification less than 24 hours prior to the lesson will result in no refund for the missed lesson and no make-up lesson. Each student is limited to one make-up lesson per month unless otherwise discussed with their personal instructor. If a student wishes to cancel lessons altogether the instructor must be informed before McCord will issue any refund or credit. Any missed lessons that cannot be made-up by the instructor will be credited to the next month’s schedule.
McCord reserves the right to refund tuition in the form of a McCord check, even if the original payment was made by credit card.
Our facility is equipped with an entry ramp and accessible bathroom on the first level. All efforts will be made to accommodate special needs.
Discounts & Gift Certificates
Members of MGCC receive a tuition discount for one year from the date their membership is processed. See registration and membership forms. The MGCC would like to thank all the members and donors who make it possible to keep tuition and event prices affordable. Music students receive a 3% discount on lessons while Art students receive a flat rate discount specific to each class or workshop.
